Generlink Transfer Switch
I have installed a Generlink for use with a gas generator. The generlink does not switch the neutral as part of its transfer switch, so it requires the neutral-ground bond to be lifted on the generator (otherwise there are 2 bonding locations, resulting in current flow in the ground which is a no-no).
The neutral-ground bond cannot be lifted on the Powerboost (I wish it could be!) - same problem as those folks who want to connect their Powerboost directly to their main house panel (using a simple breaker lockout). Ie the Powerboost will just trip showing a ground fault.
There are many threads on this - some have worked around this by lifting the ground in the cable to the Powerboost (but many say this is illegal) - others have bought neutral switching transfer switches (but this doesnt work with a whole-house setup).
