My 2022 Lariat is having an occasional issue. When I auto close the passenger window and now most recently the drivers side, it reverses direction and stays open. I assume there is some sort of sensor to reverse direction in case an arm or dogs head is in the way. Is this a dealer issue or is there something I can do?

 

Run it up and hold the button for 5 sec, should reset it.

May have to hold down, too.

 

If there are any obstructions it will reverse. Example. in channel vent shades might cause enough restriction of movement.

 

I've also found just going over rough roads while it is going up is enough for it to reverse.

 

Search in the owners manual for window reset. The procedure is there.

 

There is a reset, Stage 3 did a video on it. But this also could mean a sign of a bad battery, so someone doesn't get locked out. Example, my truck did it , as well as had radio/interior lights quit coming on when I opened the door. Did a BMS reset, worked. Then eventually the window bounce back happened. Read, could be battery going.

I replaced with a new one from Auto Zone, all issues went away.
