Default Front sensors

So I just picked up a 2021 xlt. It’s giving me front park aid sensor error occasionally. So I hooked up forscan to look for DTC and came up with code U0253. Also am unable to access APIM module with forscan.
So my question is the sensor fault part of this APIM error and where is a good place to start diagnosing the problem? Thanks

Are the sensors even there? Check on the bumper.

Had something similar happen on my ‘22 Platinum. Took almost a year for them to figure it out, including consultation with the factory. They basically ended up replacing every sensor outside the truck and the control module in the dash. Hopefully they’ve figured out the bug since then.

I have seen the DTC for losing communication with the APIM on many trucks I have checked. That does not mean FORscan cannot talk to the APIM...it means another module in your truck reported communication issues with your APIM. I am sure if you click the APIM module in FORscan, you can run service procedures on it.

Also, I don't think the APIM manages the sensors. I am inclined to say it is the BCM, but honestly, I am not sure.
