UPDATE. Finally spoke to the Progressive claims adjuster. He told me that he believes the thieves were definitely trying to steal my truck. Apparently, in south Florida thieves are targeting 2021+ F150 limiteds and platinums. The reason - they can take the parts off of a 2021+ f150 and attach to a 2018 to make it look like a 2021+ f150. Unbelievable. He said my truck is one of several claims he's dealt with in the last 30 days so he is familiar. The thieves are also targeting the tailgates of the limiteds/platinums. The adjuster recommended that I get "The Club" and a tailgate lock.

I have the power tailgate. Does anyone know of a good lock for a power folding tailgate? I can't seem to find one online. Thanks in advance.

The new tailgates lock with the door locks so there's no aftermarket support. What you could do to help deter is the old hose clamp around the tailgate hinge trick. It won't keep them from getting it, but may make it where they don't want to mess with the additional time. They would have to unlock the vehicle, then drop the tailgate, then remove the hose clamp to be able to remove the tailgate.

Interesting. I have a roll n lock tonneau cover that locks. If that is locked, are they able to access the tailgate without my key? Meaning, would they be able to drop the tailgate if they broke into the truck even though the key is not with the truck? Or do they just try to take the tailgate without going into the vehicle? if that's the case, would they be able to get to the tailgate if my tonneau cover is locked?

Maybe don't eat at Popeys unless going through the drive through. An aftermarket alarm can easily be installed with an alternate location for a siren, and two way remote.

Unfortunately, Securalert has been disabled for quite a few trucks recently. No reason given.

I thought the Prius had that title?

Ford Support told me there's a software glitch and they are aware of the problem. A software fix is coming early this year.
Well here we are and almost a 1/4 of the year is over and still nothing!!

Nope. Unfortunately that locks into the cover itself, not to the tailgate. Typically they're looking to grab something quickly and quietly. Having to break into the truck, risk the alarm or being spotted, then unlocking the truck to get the tailgate to drop, is going to be more than most want to do. Add the hose clamp like I mentioned and it'll be an even bigger deterrent to theft.

If you want to be absolutely sure your truck can't be stolen, get a Ravelco installed and make sure to take the plug from it with you anytime you get out. They're randomized from what I understand, so trying to bypass it would potentially take hours.
