Default Fordpass app question..

Maybe I’m missing something.

We can lock and unlock our trucks with the app. We can start them with the app.

But we can’t turn the truck off with the app.

Sure you can let the timer do that but c’mon Ford, one more feature wont hurt you.

You should be able to just swipe the same slider like when you remote start to shut the truck off, at least on my 2018 Raptor I could as well as my current 2024 f150 Platinum.

X3, you should be able to swipe to start and then swipe to shut off as well.

Sliding it the other way seemed logical to me, but it did nothing.

Shut it off??? Hell, I'd like to be able to put the windows up/down from the remote/app/door keypad.

I dont ever find myself starting the truck, to turn it off 🤔 but I often find a reason to drop the windows, or put them up if left cracked.

I don't think Ford would ever do that. They would likely consider it a safety risk. I know the windows are supposed to be smart so they don't hurt anybody or anything, but without someone there to respond it's a risk they won't take.

AMGtuned What year and trim is your truck. You should be able to use the key to let the front windows up/down.

How do I open and close my Ford's windows with a key fob?

Your vehicle may have a feature that lets you open and close all your windows and vent your moonroof/sunroof using only your key fob.* Refer to the table below for instructions.
Activity Steps Open all your windows at once and vent the moonroof/sunroof Press and hold the unlock button on your key fob for at least three seconds. Stop the windows/moonroof/sunroof from opening Press the lock or unlock button again. Close all your windows and the moonroof/sunroof Press and hold the lock button for at least two seconds. Stop your windows from closing Press the lock or unlock button on the fob.Note: When closing your windows with your key fob, the bounce-back feature is automatically activated. This causes the window to stop and reverse if it detects an obstruction while closing.

For information specific to your vehicle, refer to the Owner's Manual.
