Default Ford Performance M-3000-H4B Lowering kit?

Hello, New member here on the forums.. Ive done quite some research lately on lowering my 23' RCSB 4x4 but I came across this particular kit on the ford performance website... Its listed as part number: M-3000-H4B Ford Performance M-3000-H4B Lowering Kit ...I know that FP offered the rear lowering kit from their FP700 kit and I have looked into numerous 3/5 lowering kits, but this seems like a middle point between the both and priced accordingly... Has anyone used this kit or have any information on it? Thanks in advance!

The kit is built by groundforce, I did lots of research before I bought my 2022. The last email I received from Ford performance was back in June that the kit will be available in late fall. If the instructions aren't available yet you can look at the prior model year instructions it's very similar. I do plan on putting the ground force 9988 into my 2020. The front is a coil spring and the back is a shackle and if your 4x4 you also remove your lift block there are other parts in the kit like bump stops... I was going to buy this kit but now I'm saving to buy the FP700 kit.

If anyone orders this Kit, PLEASE post pictures before and after, tons of lifted pics out there but not many lowered, this Kit is very reasonable and if it gets rid of the ridiculous amount of rake without dropping the truck too much, it'll be worth the 600 bucks.

I was waiting for one of you guys to do it first, but alas I had to be the guinea pig last weekend. Got mine for $450 from Lethal Performance. Install is easy, took about 3 hours front and rear. Still has pretty much the same amount of rake as factory (I didn't measure to confirm). No decrease in ride comfort that I notice.

Tips I would have wanted to know in advance (2wd application in my case, YMMV): Pull the lower most rear shackle bolt out first and then jack the rear end up until the leaf spring bottoms out on the bed bottom and you can get the upper shackle bolt easy peasey. On the front pull the bottom of the strut out of the lower control arm first before taking the 3 upper nuts off the top mount. The strut will come out much easier that way. Also make sure you orient the top mount the same once you swap the spring out so the bolt holes line back up.

How much are you wanting to lower your truck? That kit only drops the front an inch to an inch and a half. Its not going to have the same effect as a 3/5 drop kit. I have a 3/5 kit from Ridetech on my truck. Ride height is fully adjustable and so it the shock rebound.

I had the Ground Force 2/4 kit on my 2014 and the front blue coil springs rode too stiff. I ended up removing them and installing 3" DJM front lowering control arms, and a 5.5" Belltech flip kit with helper bags. Ride is just like stock. The 1st pic is stock height, 2nd is Ground Force 2/4 on stock wheels, 3rd is GF 2/4 on 22's, and 4th is 3/5.5 kit with 90 psi on rear helper bags.

Thank you so far for the pics.. my goal is to ultimately lose all the rake and have it leveled.. from the ford website for this kit: 1.3” lower in front & 2.5” in rear.. As much as I like the look of the 3/5 drop, I still use my truck often in 4wd during winter and some non pavement roads, so too low doesn’t work for my application here in the northeast.. I also don’t want to swap out control arms and such, I much prefer using factory components which are widely available for long term.. with that said, after reading through the manual for this kit, the front is only swapping the springs out and for the rear, it includes new shackles and taking out the factory blocks under the leaf.. which is way more of what I’d like to do and if the rear still has too much rake, I would have to find a way to lower the rear even further, maybe lower drop shackles?

Yeah you would have to find some adjustable shackles for the rear. The Ridetech kit is fully adjustable. Front is adjustable from 1.5 to 3 inch drop and the rear is 3.5 to 5.5. I think they do just sell the rear kit with the adjustable shackles.

For what's its worth, here is $30 2" shackles from ebay and the block removed on mine. Front 100% stock. The factory rake was unbearable! (I did add 2.5 degree shims to the rear based on others experience and it rides like stock)
