If you have the vin number how soon can track a new trucks location?

 

If you are asking if you can track it while it is on the way to you from the plant. No you can't. I tried and it said waiting activation until it was done with PDI.

If you are asking how fast can it be added before I leave the parking lot it will be done. You have to acknowledge it on the Sync system then it is all yours.

 

I could see mine within minutes of adding it to FordPass. As for a vehicle in transit, that may be part of "dealer mode", which seems like one of the steps the dealer takes to ready the vehicle for sale.

 

My new 2023 will hopefully be delivered Tuesday. The dealer in Dallas is using the same lady that delivered the 21.Tuesday is shaping up to be very busy so maybe I can get a better eta with Ford Pass.

 

I use to have it on my Ford Pass but it's no longer available, another ford cutback

 

I open the Ford Pass app and press Map, at the bottom and it shows it parked in my carport.

 

If you start the activation, and they hit activate on the Sync screen then you will have access to see it etc. If they don't then no you won't. It takes someone to hit the activate button on Sync to finish the activation.
