I had a flip out bed extender on my old truck and would like to get one for my 2023. I'm not a fan of the big and chunky plastic one from Ford and the price is crazy. It seems that Ford offers the old style metal tube version too for about $350. Does anyone have this on their truck and how do you like it ?
I have also been looking at the Amp Research version but I think it needs another $70 kit to attach it?

I'd rather not drill into my new truck if possible so which is the better flip out? The Ford or the Amp?

 

There are a bunch on Amazon ranging in price from about $130 to $350+. Mine are similar to, but not exactly like the one in the link above.

Most are a universal fit. they telescope to fit different bed widths. The same one I have on my Tacoma can be adjusted to fit my F150. The one on the 2007 Tacoma was dealer installed when I bought it. I picked up the one on my 2014 F150 at a yard sale for $40. It was still in the box and unused. Took me about 30 minutes to assemble and install on my truck.
