Default FDRS Update

2023 F150 Platinum here

I just went for the FDRS updates last night. Took about five hours total and about 12 modules updated.

Everything works great and another plus is that all of the ForScan mods have not been affected.

My biggest gripe was I felt like I wasn’t getting all the updates I needed. The biggest issue was Blue Cruise, it sucked. It would bounce back and forth in the lanes so bad it was unusable. Happy to report that after the updates, Blue Cruise is working phenomenal!!!

Maybe some can help me answer this: I still keep getting the bell symbol at the top of the screen saying there’s an update due tomorrow at 1am. But then never updates???

Should I sell this mongoose adapter now? How often do these module updates show up?

You plan on paying the 800 bucks a year for Blue Cruise?

Possibly. My trial goes through 2027 so I’ve got a while to mess around with it.

That notice will go away eventually.

Unless you need the money, I would hold on to the Mongoose. Not just for future updates.....it is a good tool to have in your arsenal. If something goes wrong, you can diagnose and fix many things yourself and liberate yourself from dealer dependencies.
