F150 Custom order build tracker
Many of us are trying to estimate our date milestones for our custom builds. It's difficult to easily compare with others if the details are all over the place.
I created this sheet to see if it helps. Add your custom order details and date info here to help share and make it visible to others. For some reason it appears as if you must be singed into Google to be able to make multiple selection in the last column(you'll see what I mean when you get there). Alternatively, add text at will.
PLEASE DO NOT SORT/ORDER OR FILTER THE DATA IN THE SHEET IN ANY WAY. DO NOT RENAME ANY OF THE TABS, PLEASE. You can however edit your own data with date updates as you get them.
Refer to this sticky guide by @JoeBlowFord on how to read the various bits of info with regards to the order process.
Edit 3/16 and updates on 3/24 and 4/22, 4/25:
Here's a typical build timeline(as of 3/16) and expected steps. These timings can change, hopefully improve, as time goes on.
Edit: 3/10:
Cell color definitions.
Edit 2/23:
- Added a column where we can track Dealer name if you want to add that.(this has been requested numerous times)
- Recent changes made to the "Analysis v2" tab to present numerous graphs to graphically display certain aspects of the unfulfilled orders we are tracking.
Edit: 12/31.
- Added a 2nd sheet from where you can make certain selections on the entered data. The sheet is called "Selections", it has a table with Selectors/Slicers at the top. You can view for example all Lariats or all Platinums etcs, for more easy comparison. You can also filter on certain packages. Somewhat basic spreadsheet tools.
- As always, please do not edit filter or sort the "Order Data" sheet in any way, except to modify your own line in the file.
- Also inserted a automatic formatter that will highlight a line in green if the truck has a delivery date.

- Order
- Many weeks later receive VIN and scheduled build date
- 7-10 days prior to blend date your Window sticker will be available. You can find it by appending your VIN after this URL and pasting it into your browser, if your WS is not available here then it means your blend date is still more than 7-10 days away. Code:
https://www.windowsticker.forddirect.com/windowsticker.pdf?vin=
- Shortly after you received your Window Sticker, Ford tracker will show you as "in production". For some this even happens before the WS is available, for some 24 hours after WS. This just means Ford has started to reserve all the parts for your build. Nothing happens yet, they are just planning your build to start in the next 7 days or so.
- Your Blend date is visible on your Window sticker. This is when your chassis meets your body. This is the main "build date" us here on the forum look at.
- 1-4 days AFTER your blend date you might start seeing modules populating. See this post on what it means for modules being live. Important to look for the final 'G' at the end of your modules page, that means you are done.
- Shortly after that your truck will be complete, barring any chip holds. You should see the "activate" button in the FordPass app, and you will receive a BUILT email from Ford, hopefully. Heaven knows what happens if you are stuck in a chip purgatory at this stage. Many folks from early 2022 builds waited months for theirs to get new modules/chips to be able to exit the build phase.
- Now you will receive your "Your truck is complete" email from Ford. That's assuming your dealer set up your details correctly, and you have actually been getting all other(the 2 or 3 there are) updates from Ford.
- Your truck will now be shipped, it will take 2-4 weeks for US orders typically. If you look at your Window Sticker you should see whether you are Rail or Convoy. A copy/paste from this post shows this
- Convoy means it leaves the plant on a trailer to either the rail loading yard or the final destination.
- Rail means it's loaded onto the train right at the plant.
- Everything out of KC leaves the plant on convoy. There are 4 rail yards serving KC but none at the plant. Dearborn has a rail yard right at the plant so it's a mix of rail and convoy.
- Dealer's are supposed to be able to give the rail car number but I haven't asked. Ford Chat typically gives it out if you ask.
- Convoy is typically faster tan Rail. BUT if you have Convoy on your WS, that doesn't mean you might not get on a railcar. Convoy on your WS just means that is the way your truck leaves the plant. It might leave the plant on a convey to get to a railyard.
- Here's some descriptions of various shipping statuses, thank you @tkanipe for putting this list together.
- ASN = Advance Shipping Notice (letting the shippers know a truck is coming soon)
- Pending = Truck is sitting in que between production and a carrier
- Picked = Chosen with a small group of other vehicles to be shipped together
- Paired = The small group of vehicles has been paired with a carrier
- Dispatched = The vehicle is on the move
- Delivered = The vehicle is at the destination (this could be your dealer or could be a rail yard).
- On Hold = This is a mystery category for "Houston we have a problem" situations
- Here's some descriptions of various shipping statuses, thank you @tkanipe for putting this list together.
- Picking up your order, you might need to know and understand "price protection". Typically your dealer should know this, but some unscrupulous dealers will try to pull the wool over your eyes. Thank you @Stans2000 for the thread.
- Now that you have go take good care of it. Here's @ak5_platinum150 's thread on Ceramic coatings.
Edit: 3/10:
Cell color definitions.
- BLACK: Don't enter anything
- Red: Invalid entry(you probably entered YES for Adaptive Steering but your truck doesn't have that option).
- Yellow: Enter your values
- Green: Date is in the future. Happy waiting
- Grey cell: Date is in the past, nice you made it this far.
- Grey row: Truck has been delivered and we'll never hear from this happy owner again. you lucky s o b.
Edit 2/23:

We have a few members who already submitted their order details. Thanks! We might have some usable data to make educated guesses with.

I added mine. I see that most of you got your VIN already. My order was around the same time some of you took delivery. I still haven't received my VIN yet, I'm sure it has something to do with the trim level. Good luck to you all!
