erratic acceleration and or shifting
I just purchased a 2024 F150 5.0 with 19,000 miles from a local Ford dealer. They gave it the Gold Pre-Owned certification and added another year warranty and 12,000 miles.
I had the dealer fill it up (it was on empty when purchased) with 93 octane fuel. I always ran than thru my 2005 GMC Yukon and it lasted me 18 years running great till the "infamous 5.3L tick" came about
My question is since I 've had it, a month now, it is not shifting that smooth and stuttering when given acceleration or holding a low RPM speed 15-20 mph.
Could this be to the higher octane fuel? Maybe need to check for software updates? I would think the dealer has done that. Any info would be appreciated

It's likely the truck remembers how the previous owner drove. The Ford 150 learns your driving style, have the dealer reflash your TCM before you pick it up.
If you already have it, I suggest you take it back to them.
There is a way you can do this at home. I don't have time right now to explain it, but it's what called a KAM reset.
Some one help the guy out?

Hey JOHNDAY and ART thank you very much for the help. I'm very cautious bout the service department with the local dealer here. I haven't heard the best of reviews, but I will give it a chance. Thanks again.
Its good to be back in the FORD family, I just went thru two GMC Yukon XL's , decent vehicles but glad to have this F150.
