Default Enable Phone As A Key?

I was using Forscan today and noticed in the APIM there is an option to enable Phone as a Key. Surely it's not that simple. What else would be necessary to make that work?

What Ford vehicles is Phone As A Key™* available on?
Phone As A Key is currently available on the following vehicles:

Mustang Mach-E
Ford F-150 Lightning** (model years 2021 and newer)
Optional package for Lariat low 510A trim level
Standard for Lariat high 511A and Platinum 710A trim levels
My truck is an XLT 302A. So even if I enable it with Forscan would it still not work? Is there additional hardware that's required?

If so, I hope that they would not feel compelled to add the "auto - stop - start" function.

It has been done but from what I remember there is extra hardware needed and it took a bit of configuration with fdrs to get it to eventually work.
