thats typically an apim if youre talking about the infotainment. more and more I'm leaning to bad ground.

 

My dealer service department just told me there is supposedly an update for it.

 

Ford seems to have an update for almost everything these days.

 

Well, almost two months later and still getting the battery and brake light warning. Dash blacking out has happened a few more times. The latest was dash going black, engine cutting off, and what I assume to be the IWEs grinding. Coasted to where there was a shoulder and pulled off. Pressed the start button to turn everything off and it wouldn’t turn off. Kept popping up different system faults and then after about three or four tries, it turned off. Started back up with engine light solid and drove to work. Pulled codes P0230, P0600, and P0607. Ford pass shows PCM communication error.

Got it into the dealer and they say that it’s due to having a few led ambient light strips installed. They also mentioned that my battery wasn’t Motorcraft.

They reset everything and told me to disconnect all led strips.
