Default Door Chime Help

I've had my truck for 6 months and never had this chime ... i installed some stereo equipment and had the battery unhooked for a few hours. Now, every time i open the door there's this annoying chime noise. please tell me there's an easy way to turn this back off without Forscan ?!?!

I did not install any stereo equipment (or make any other changes) and mine just started doing this yesterday. I have also had my truck for three months and it has never done this before yesterday. It is annoying. I cannot find how to turn it off.

Are you getting the nintendo sound. I think what happens if the truck does not talk to the APIM and send the sound through the speakers is reverts to that other speaker in the dash.

The truck will do this also if you remote start too fast and not unlock the doors first or if you get in and start the truck to fast. This happens on ever ford I have own.

You can disable the dash speaker one with FORScan. I have done this before.
