Default Door Actuators Going Nuts?

2021 Lariat Powerboost. Already taken to the dealer for the windows not working and the alarm going off randomly (I’ve seen the threads). This is either a different problem, or connected.

I will hear the door/lock actuators go off randomly all night, even with the keys nowhere near the truck. At least, that’s what I think it may be. It’s a priming/clicking sound, similar to the sound when you press the lock button or when you approach the truck with the keys. I told dealer about it a few weeks back when it went in for the other issues, and I noticed that clicking is happening. The alarm and window problems have not returned.

Anyone else have this problem?

Pay closer attention to the source of the noises you hear. It might be the fuel pump priming. It should only do it when the door is open, or when you approach the vehicle but there have been many reports of the pump priming at random.
Don't ask why it does it when you're just 'near' but it does according to some.

Perhaps pay attention next time you open the door -can you hear the pump prime? Is that the same sound that you are describing....knowing this does happen, you may pay more attention to it now than you have before.

Nobody has presented this scenario yet where doors are automatically and randomly locking unlocking.

I hear this weird noise happen all the time too. I had my hood up one of the times and it sounds like it comes from the driver side between the block and the fender, around the height of the exhaust manifold.

Someone please help us solve this mystery. It is not door locks, that I am certain.

I know the fuel pump primer sound, I had a 2018 and when you'd open the door it sounded like a machine gun. This is a different sound, and it's intermittent throughout the day/night.

I don't think it's actually the doors locking and unlocking, it just has the same sound as when you press the unlock button on unlocked doors, where you hear the actuators and relays.

I just purchased a 2022 FX4 and have the same issue I'm not sure exactly what is making the noise or if it is supposed to but I doubt that it is. I'm going to touch base with the dealer and let you know what they tell me.
