Default Does Sync4 Nav work in dead cell area?

New to the site so forgive me if this question has been answered.

I spend most of my days in West Texas where there are a ton of areas with no cell service.

I have a new 2021 F150 XLT 4X4 302A that should be ready the end of this week or early next, getting grill guard, tires, toolbox etc installed this week.

I have yet to use the Sync4 system.

My question is will it work in those no cell signal areas?

I should also mention another thing being installed is a cell phone signal booster. I have had the boosters in my last couple of trucks (all Fords) but even with that I am in areas without cell secell service.

Thanks in advance, love this place thus far.

For Data features, anywhere that has AT&T should get service. My folks have a lake home on Lake Fork in East Texas that gets awful cell signal, but I get data just fine in my truck, and I use it as a hotspot for my phone. The truck itself has a much better antenna than any phone. That being said, I've been through Lubbock and I've encountered dead zones where the internet was lost. No idea how cell service is in West Texas, but keep in mind that even the best LTE antenna can't pick up signal where there are no towers.

The Nav feature is Data + GPS. If it's already has the map in memory and downloaded, it should work fine. I have once seen it lose GPS, and it gave me a little warning logo of a satellite with a line through it. Lasted only a few minutes.

Yeah data only matters for traffic updates and the like. I can say with certainty it works because my truck was one of a number of trucks built between late April and early May where the communication module was programmed poorly and the modem didn't work for a few weeks before they found the problem. I could still use Nav, just got an error when trying to view live weather and the like.

Where do you get the cell phone signal booster from?

Thanks for the info.

I picked up the truck today and drove it a couple of hunderd miles. So far I like this version very much, except for the size of the two side mirrors I might have to look into an upgrade to a larger size.

I've gotten most of my phone boosters in the past through Amazon, but this one I bought from the outfitter in San Antonio. The price was about the same and I didn't have to install it.
They generally run about $500.

I'm taking a few days off, I'll be back in West Texas in a couple of weeks.

I'll report how the Sync4 nav works in the Big Bend area, and the Guadalupe mountains area.

Thank ya'll again for the responses.
