Default Disable Electronic Locker

Hi,

I recently had the differentials in my 21 5.0 F150 changed from 3.31 to 3.73.
In the process, I had an Eaton TrueTrack posi installed in the rear.

My truck was outfitted with the e-locker - so I need to figure out how to tell the truck to no longer care about the e-locker connection. Is there a way?
I know that I could put a resistor inline, but I was hoping for a cleaner, more permanent approach.

Thanks!

2021 and up I hear you with throw errors if you try to disable elocker. There are elocker disable kits out there , BUT none for 2021 and up that I know of.

The cleanest and most correct approach will be to install a new drive mode switch (ATCM) without the e-locker button and to install a new TCCM for an F150 without an e-locker. The new TCCM isn't really needed as keeping your old TCCM should only result in a P187C:00 code that doesn't trigger any warning lights, but the correct TCCM will get rid of the code now that your e-locker has been deleted. Just keep in mind that a new TCCM would need to have a PMI run on it with a different VIN to make it work properly. A used TCCM might be plug and play without a PMI depending on which version you need.

Appreciate the replies! Maybe I should just fashion up a resistor plug!

I didn't do anything to my 23 and don't have any codes or lights. If I push the button with ignition on it shows a malfunction code, but just driving it with the pigtail open in diff doesn't seem to bother it at all. I don't remember what the exact wording is but the dealer can see an in failure note for it and the air dam when they have their computer hooked up Jim

The resistor would need to be 2-4ohms but you might be surprised by how cheap some of the drive mode switches are, especially if you buy a used one on ebay.
