Default Dim LED Headlight

Anyone have any ideas as to why one LED headlight is significantly dimmer than the other? I replaced the halogens with LED bulbs about a year ago and just recently noticed the driver side is dim. Also, the little fan is louder on the dim bulb. I know nothing about LEDs.

Probably just a bad bulb. Especially if you are running some Amazon or EBay bulbs.

Running LED bulbs in halogen housings is not recommended anyway as halogen housings are not designed for LED bulbs which causes improper patterns.

I would go with a whole new headlight (a few good ones to choose from) or at minimum a very high quality LED bulb with proper pattern adjustment.

Agreed. Bad bulb. RMA it and have the vendor send you a replacement.

https://www.headlightrevolution.com/ I've had very good experiences with this company and their products. Projector and non both have excellent cutoffs and zero glare. Never been highbeamed. Even had one light go bad 1.5 years later and they replaced no problem. You get what you pay for.My experience is with the GTR series.

Agreed on Headlight Revolution. You do pay more for those bulbs but their videos clearly show they don't create crazy amounts of glare. They test different bulbs in both reflector and projector based housings as well as using the F150 reflector lights from time to time. Gives you a great idea of how their bulbs will perform. I am currently using SV4s in my low beams. No issues. I went with refurbished units to save even more and no problems. The bulbs looked new when I opened the box.
