Default Dearborn VS KC

Does anybody know if the restrictions on what is built where have changed?

Looking at older threads it appears that Dearborn was the exclusive builder of hybrids, and the KC was the exclusive plant for Space White.

I just ordered my 2025 Hybrid in Space White, wondering which plant may build it. Not a big deal, but apparently Dearborn will start the 25's in November, KC in December.

I've always wondered myself. I live in Kansas City and you will see a few Dearborn built trucks here on lots and I wonder why you would ship it to KC when we build them here.

Has to be certain packages/features that are built in Dearborn.

Just my 2 cents as I live near the Oakville assembly Canadian plant.....But they have so many empty rail cars criss crossing the planet I don't think it's a big deal ?? Have heard as you said certain models & also build capacity can determine which plant gets what @ each plant.... may be built @ Dearborn versus KC....My 3 2016'S 2 white xlt & a black fX4
One Xlt was built @ KC & it was a crew compared to the S/cab white # Dearborn....black FX4 also built @ Dearborn ???

Dearborn builds all Raptor's, King Ranches, Platinums, Platinum + and I still think all the Hybrid's. KC builds all regular cabs, anything with an 8' box and as of now all SuperCab's. They both build most of the stuff not mentioned.

Default Dearborn -vs- Kansas City

I thought that I read a while back that upper level F150's with the standard and optional at the time Power Deploy Running Boards were Dearborn specific. Maybe the Panoramic Sunroof as well? I have a 2022 F150 502a Lariat that I ordered with both options that was assembled in Dearborn.

I have yet to see a 14th gen regular cab built in Dearborn. My ‘19’ RCSB was a Dearborn build, and my 2024 and every other 14th gen was built in KC, like mentioned previously.
Not a problem for me, but I liked the idea of a Dearborn build, only because I grew up a Sting Ray ride from the Rouge plant.

My 24 lariat has a built in Dearborn sticker on the window. Still have it there haven't taken it off yet. I do have the pano moonroof so maybe @Cincy4x4 is on to something.
