Default Dashboard Camera

Sometime back I was waiting in line at our trash drop off point when the woman in front of me shifted to reverse. I laid on the horn but back she came until she hit the left front of my truck. She was claiming I hit her until I pointed out my dash cam. Since then I have routinely installed a dash cam in my truck and I was doing just that in my new Lariat when I wondered why Ford doesn't sell the vehicle with a camera recording device. The truck has cameras all around it but nothing to record like a dash camera. Does anyone know why Ford does not make a built in version of a dash cam?

I have often wondered that myself too.. both Chevrolet and Ford have cameras all around, why not use it like Tesla's sentry system? Or did Tesla patent the "sentry" idea?

Next thing I'm looking at more heavily, after finishing the aux switch install and the switched sounder bypass. Most video signals can be split without needing a booster. It's probably just a matter of a custom connector, since they all converter behind the APIM.
