Default dash cam mount

I need to reposition my dash cam lower on windshield, any bright ideas/ word of wisdom for getting the mount off of the glass without busting anything. Thanks Jim

Double sided tape or the superglue type stuff?

Use a blow dryer to heat it up a bit to help it release.

On two sided tape I've used either a razor blade and/or fishing line, depending on the day. I just used a razor blade on my 2020 to remove the camera because I sold the truck and didn't have any fishing line left at home. I use the heat gun fishing line trick on emblems and trim to minimize any paint damage.

It's double sided tape with a clear piece that goes on first. Vantrue got back to me with heat and twist and/or light prying so I'll give that a try. Was thinking about using razor blade to start the larger clear piece underneath loose. Will pass along any success (or carnage ) Jim

Well I was way over thinking this. Used a razor blade to peel up the clear piece under the mount and pulled on the clear and the whole think popped right off!
