Ok, I ordered my new F 150 on 6/30/21. Got the order number and Vin and when I go to the order tracker site it had been in production for almost 3 weeks now and had an original delivery date of 9/4 but yesterday it still says in production but delivery date went to 10/31?? I can bring up tbe window sticker. I turned in my last lease instead of taking the extension which was gonna cost me 740 bucks for the first extension payment since it was only a couple weeks from tbe new one and then this happens. Anyone have any information on what may be going on?

I'm new to all of this and can't really help you other than to say this ... I ordered my truck two days after you ordered yours, and I still don't have a VIN. From a lot of the reading I've done here, it may be a while. So as unpleasant as the update you received is, consider yourself lucky!

 

Is your truck a KC build?? Probably ran out of chips before the shutdown. Or it's off site if you having spray in liner ordered.

 

Well, I ordered my replacement truck on 4/26. They had that one produced right around 6/24. But they entered it into the system wrong. I had checked the window sticker and noticed something wasn't right. So they turned around and reordered on 6/28. It's been sitting "in production" for a while now. I talked to my dealer. It's been built. It's sitting off site waiting for a chip. I'm so pissed. My other truck that was mis-ordered has been delivered and sold. And here I am. Sitting waiting for the chip. I extended my lease one month in the beginning as it was to expire in May. Then I took them up on the 6 month one since my truck was being built. I'm glad I did. I'd be really stuck without the truck. I didn't believe any of the dates they were giving me so I said "I'll believe it when I see it" and held on.

Who knows when the chip will arrive. Right now my delivery date says 9/7. I just email the dealer every week for a status update. They feel bad enough that they ordered the truck incorrectly the first time. I'm hoping they will buy my lease and I can get some more $$ out of them for this debacle.

 

I ordered my Powerboost on 6/9, truck was built in Dearborn on 7/29 with 8/22 DLR ETA, no status updates but DLR ETA did change to 9/6. I’m wondering what the hold up is along with many other folks…

 

Our trucks are probably hanging out together in the same lot.

 

Ordered mine on 5-13. So far VIN and order number only. Sitting at order confirmed since 6-16. Build dates have been pushed out 1.5 months. Waiting for word on Monday for latest from KC shutdown. I’m guessing if I see my truck before the end of October I’ll be lucky!
