I’ve had my 23 XL 150 Standard Cab for one week. I’m very happy with it. But…….. imagine my surprise to find that the center “seat” back is just an armrest and doesn’t have storage. That’s under the seat bottom. A pain to access. I need the seat option so removing it isn’t an option. Can’t find an aftermarket back replacement with storage. An help out there? Also haven’t figured out how to remove the center seat head rest. It takes up a lot of room when folded down.

I purchased a new xlt storage lid for my 21 xl from white bear ford parts for under $200 and did the mod myself
the xls have foam in the arm rest, instead of the storage box.

I have the same style vehicle as you. I can't stand that center arm rest being down but I would like a cupholder. I guess I'll have to settle for that "inexpensive" plastic tray. On Youtube:
