Here is a photo of my Smoked Quartz in sunlight. Best color out right now, IMO!

The smoked quartz is too dark for my taste in Florida. I guess I prefer to be that anonymous man in carbonized gray ( a lighter shade)

It appears the Smoked Quartz is much more of a 'color shifting' paint than others...which is cool. I like vehicle finishes that differ in color as you view them from different angles and/or in different lighting conditions.
DuPont's ChromaLusion paint is this way...several different base colors but ultimately a 'soap bubble' effect.

I’m definitely biased towards the carbonized gray (although I strongly considered antimatter blue!)

I thought Leadfoot was a great color; it had personality...too bad it's been discontinued for '22.

I haven't heard of Leadfoot. What does that look like?

Gloss primer grey, but it looks good.

Back in 2019 we saw a F250 at the Barret Jackson Scottsdale auctions in Antimatter Blue. Loved the color. Was super excited when Ford brought it to the F150. However when I saw it in person outside it just was too dark for me. While we were at the dealer checking out Antimatter the sales guy asked if we had seen smoked quartz in person. I said no, he took us to the back parking lot where they had a platinum in SQ that had just rolled off a transport. Lucky for me because as soon as I saw the color I fell in love. It's really not anything close to what it looks like on the build and price site, you really have to see it in person. Think that is the same for a lot of the colors though.

Looking back, I guess the super bright lighting at Barrett Jackson made Antimatter look lighter than it does when its outside. Its a very very deep blue almost black. For some reason I also think it looks better on the SuperDuty.

I will miss my 2015 in Magnetic, but also a bit excited to get a color other than Grey as it seems Ford has released a ton of different variations of grey lately.
