Well, my saga continues. I have been having the various issue since getting my 1.7.1 update that I have discussed in the "Software Updates" thread. Now I have a potentially related issue regarding the camera which, if it is an issue, may be a source of my issues.
When driving, I turned on the cruise control and have lane keeping on with alert+Assist active. I have used it prior to the issues I have encountered since the 1.7.1 update without a problem. Tonight it just went from the center yellow line to the shoulder white line, wandering and then quite aggressively adjusting. I used to be able to turn Lane Keeping on and it was rock steady. Got home and cleaned the windshield around the area of the 2 cameras in case it had dirt or a layer of dust that was obscuring the image. Went back out and had the same thing occur. It would wander back and forth and then show a yellow "Cancelled" message in the area of the instrument cluster display that shows the cruise status (below digital speed display), but turned back on after a few seconds, then cancel again. I don't think it was seeing the car taillights in front of my like it used to as it would show the little red taillights in that same display area.
I took a picture of the camera that is off-center to the right of the camera behind the rear view mirror area as it looked weird when I was cleaning the windshield. Please take a look at this and let me know if anyone else's camera looks like this. It is almost like there is bubbling under there, but also not sure if this is even in the camera FOV or if just the small silver circle is the camera...
I have not noticed this before, but can't say that I have ever really looked at it. Also I think I had Lane Keeping turned off as I don't usually use it due to a lot of construction in my area. It must have turned back on when I did the master reset. I think this camera is responsible for lane keeping and speed sign recognition, so would seem to point to something with it given this growing list of issues I am finding.
The other camera in the area behind the rear view mirror looks OK and clear.
Any input would be welcome and appreciates. Thanks all! Have a very Merry Christmas all!!
They had to reload and calibrate the IPMA module. Thought that something in the 1.7.1 OTA either overwrote or corrupted this module. All is working again and hopefully it stays that way.

so untested software leaks to your truck impacting such a critical item. Who is writing software for Ford - HCL/Infosys? Those guys can't stop drinking coffee long enough to get anything done, been there done that.

Who knows... They had no idea why/how it may have happened exactly. But the reprogramming fixed it and then they recalibrated everything just to make certain it was up to current code. What worries me is if it were corrupted in the OTA transfer/update process, that would seem to indicate they are not even doing a MD5/checksum validation of the package to make sure it didn't have issues.
