Finally got someone to answer at Ford's Connected Service, very nice CS agent. My issue is Ford stopped my connected navigation 2 months early and I have a case open to extend it to the promised full year free trial. Going on 2 weeks already and agent said may take another month to resolve. WTH! Was thinking about renewing my navigation subscription but will just use Android Auto. By the way, (Ford are you listening?) this is my 7th Ford Pick-Up and probably my last. Why would I continue to support a company that obviously does not care about their customer base. Rant over, lol.

You’re better off using Apple CarPlay or android auto and running the Waze app for navigation.

If you think Ford CS is bad, then don't to RamCares. I also have a 2025 Ram 1500. The electronics on it are pretty much my only issue's. Half the secondary stuff on the screen is useless (I have the 8.4) They changed over their engine lineup to straight six twin turbo's, lots of power but no tow capacity.

I bring mine to the dealer and show them the issue's, they look at four other trucks set up the same way, and the all do it. It is bad but it is normal cause they all do it. They say call into RamCares, I call in and they tell me they will only work with the dealers. I go back to the dealer and they open a STAR case. It gets closed saying it is normal.

As for the idea of just using your cell phone for navigation, works great if you always have cell coverage. If you live where I do on-board Nav saves me more time then not. Yes you can redownload an area, if you know where you are going to be all day. I still use the onboard Nav in my F150 and an older Garmin in my Ram.

AS for saying this is my last Ford because of a customer service Rep problem. How has the truck been?

I had issues with towing alerts in the Ford Nav app. I don't subscribe to Nav so I can't turn them off. I was on the phone with ford customer service for over an hour, and they couldn't help, so they sent me to the dealership who couldn't do anything. The easy answer would be for Ford to turn on my Nav, let me turn off the notifications, then cancel my Nav. They said that was impossible. I've had an open recall for more than 80% of the time I've owned this 2022 and currently have two unresolved recalls. Unfortunately, I agree about looking beyond Ford for my next truck. I have always driven Fords since 1981 (yeah I'm old) except for a while I had a Mercury lol. Now I have a Camry and it has been flawless.

Mlarv: Ford's customer service issue isn't the main reason I'm thinking of quitting them. From your example with Ram and my neighbor's new Tundra problems, I suspect all the manufacturers are pretty much all in lock step. Plus there's been several other issues I've had with Ford over the last few years. What really opened my eyes was last year when the biggest Ford dealership here in San Antonio refused to flush my transmission because my 2019 XLT had 150K miles, that was scheduled maintenance from the owner's manual. Said they would be responsible if something went wrong because of known transmission problems....bullhockey! Still trying to get the door keypad for my STX but can't get it programmed. Took 4 months to get a OEM trailer brake controller installed, etc, etc. The truck itself has been OK, no real mechanical problems so far, thank the Lord. Plus at my age, this could very well be the last truck I purchase. Just frustrated with all the corporate greed and the fact nothing is made to last anymore. New fridge after 3 years, new central air conditioning system after 8 years that doubled in price. I could go on and on. My favorite F-150 was a 1997 single cab, manual tranny with the 300 ci straight six, no friggin electronics. I think I could have driven that one forever.

I received an email "here’s your latest Ford Owner newsletter" and was interested in the article on setting up a phone as a key for the truck. I became uninterested when I had to "enable ALL Customer Connectivity Settings" that tracks a lot of data about most everything related to the truck and how you drive it. I don't want a Ford Big Brother gathering all this data and doing who knows what with it, selling it to insurance companies?

Just an update if anyone is interested. Now been over 6 weeks and nothing but crickets from Ford Connected Services. All I asked for back on August 22nd (they opened a ticket) was to see if they would extend my navigation trail to the full year I was promised when I made my purchase. Over 6 weeks to answer such a simple question. Impressive!

Just out of curiosity did you go to the dealer to get help? I don't mean the service monkey but the sales and/ or dealership manager. You bought and paid for something so you should receive it. They act as if doing a favor including it but it's built into the cost somewhere.
