Cabin and Air Filter replacement
I always use Wix or Purolator for engine filters. K&N worries me too much. Check out the below video.

To get back on topic....Cabin Air Filter... Super important to replace depending on where you live and how vulnerable to allergies you are. I use the Bosch Hepa Filter, and replace twice a year. Help me breath better. Helps my wife sneeze less and be able to breath. Make sure you replace it in the correct position. It's easy to put it upside down.
Cheers.

I’ve used Fram filters since the early 70’s. I know a lot of people don’t like them but I’ve never had an issue, and have never paid someone to do an oil change in my life! They’re easily available at Fleet Farm or Walmart and always in stock for F-150’s! I like the fact that the cabin filters are enhanced with Febreze! Just my 2 cents.
More pleats and lower micron filtering =good. Cheap should not necessarily be a criteria unless the other two are acceptable. Without going into specifics of each anything in the "standard replacement " category is fine for a 10k replacement interval.

If a filter increases air flow that means it is a bypass filter, not a filter.
I bought the K&N the first time because it was all the local parts place had in stock, when I went to clean it I found that the K&N cleaning and re-fresh kit cost more than a dispoable filter off Amazon with and activated charcoal element. I went with option 2.

I've been using an AEM oilless washable filter, which is part of K&N, since 2011. I've used that same filter in every truck since than, same air box from 2011-2023, and I finally had to replace it with my 2023. I call up K&N because of their lifetime warranty and they sent me a new one with no hassels, all they wanted was pics of the filter and pics of the pin size holes in it.
