Default A/C EWAFS issue

Hi everyone, new to the forum hoping that someone might have a solution to this problem. My A/C comes on by itself in both auto and manual even when the temp set point is at say 72 deg. and the air temp in the cab is in the low to mid 60's. My XLT has the 302A auto climate package. I had it to the dealer under warrantee and was told that's normal due to the 'Enhanced Windshield Anti Fogging Strategy'. I'll be driving along waiting for the truck to warm up and get blasted by cold A/C! I got the truck last summer, and didn't notice it until fall. I've seen a thread where you can turn off the EWAFS in FORScan (thanks Livnitup!) which might cure it, but don't have access to FORScan. I saw a thread on another forum where the OP removed the wire from the humidity sensor on the windshield behind the rear view mirror, but I'm not sure if I want to get that drastic just yet! When this happens I can push the A/C button off, and it does go off. Oddly enough while running errands etc. it will stay off through many start/stop cycles no matter how hot it gets inside, but if one of my stops is over an hour it resets and pops the A/C on when I start the truck. It might be interesting to find that time value in the code and set it to infinity. On my last vehicle ('16 Explorer), once I turned off the A/C it stayed off until I turned it back on. (I prefer fresh air, windows down). I've also seen posts where folks had problems due to faulty temp and humidity sensors. I did see someone selling the OEM Temp/humidity sensors on flea bay for like $20 shipped. That might be worth a try, unless I can get the dealer to swap it out (not likely, no codes). Then at least then I'd have a spare to cut the humidity sensor wire to see if that helps. Someone else on a different forum tried that to fix it and it worked for them. I've searched through a lot of threads, but didn't find this problem. Sorry if I missed it. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance! Brian

Thanks! I'll post an update after I install the new Temp/Humidity sensor.

OK, I did get a spare Temp/humidity module, and while it was an easy swap it didn't help the problem. So since I had a spare I cut off the #4 pin which is the humidity sensor lead, and it did seem to stop bringing on the A/C when it was damp out. But I still have the problem of the A/C coming on when it's colder in the truck than outside. I mean like first thing in the morning in the garage. Set temp 70 deg. air temp 65 deg. and A/C comes on. The only good part is once I punch off the A/C button it does go off. Oddly enough while running errands etc. it will stay off through many start/stop cycles no matter how hot it gets inside, but if one of my stops is over about an hour it resets and pops the A/C on when I start the truck. I would love to find that time value in the code and set it to infinity. Any idea's? I know that there is a timer for the power ports, could it be tied to that? Thanks!
