Default Braking noise shortly after cold start

My truck is 2021 XLT 302A with 2.7L engine. It now has about 4500miles. I am very satisfied with the overall quality and the driving performance. The only problem i have now is I recently heard a scratching noise when I brake at low speed around 10mph, only in about 10 minutes after the truck was started in the morning or parked for several hours. I went to dealer today morning and had brakes inspected, but they couldn't hear the noise and told me there's no problem and everything is good. From the way back home I found a big open parking lot and rolled down the windows, checked brakes at different speed below 30mph, and didn't find any noise. But I am still a little concerned, since I can regularly hear the scratching noise every morning when I brake at the the stop sign just nearby my house. Please advise if you have any clue on the possible cause for this noise. Thanks.

Same issue. When I back out of the garage in the morning it sounds like I'm chucking bagpipes thru a wood chipper

Is there surface rust on the rotors in the morning before you set off? What about after it stops making the noise?

If there was any sort of moisture/dew or rain during the night you'll get a bit of surface rust on the rotors. The grinding sound you're hearing is the pads scrubbing the rust off. That's why it goes away after the first few stops. It's nothing to be concerned about, both of my vehicles do the same thing.

I'd agree with that, but mine is garage stored in a climate controlled garage. I wouldn't *think* rust would develop in 12 hours.

Between temps, humidity, usage and other factors this is completely normal.

Changing out the brake pads can make this go away or 10x's worse.

Will be more than surprised if a real problem is discovered,

Surface rust on brake rotors. Nothing to do or worry about.

Yes, same noise here! Every day and every time I brake when cold for the first couple of stops, brakes squealing like crazy. It lasts for the two first two times that I stop at stop signs. It happens after I park in my garage overnight or after I park in my garage for two hours. ...time doesn't matter. In Colorado we have little to zero humidity so I can't believe surface rust would be a factor. It's driving me nuts! I have never once jammed on the brakes hard in city or on the highway, there can't be any way the rotors/pads are glazed over. Noise started around 3k miles and I'm currently at 9k miles.

Anyone hearing of a fix?
