It is for pickups that have trailer back up assist, you would need forescan to put the grid lines on the display or have the dealership do it.
I picked up a new backup camera, and looking to install it. Do you remember what to look for in forscan to turn the grid lines back on in the display? Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Which one did you get? The one that came with the truck is almost unusable. The other morning I couldn't see ANYTHING out of it. Was completely fogged up.

Mind keeping me posted to see if it makes any difference in quality? I'm really appreciate it.

The new camera is in and what a difference!! Before it was hard to make out anything, especially details, now it is crisp and sharp!
I added some pics of the cams below, you can see the old one is not as clear, it kind of reminds me of older cars when the headlights start to get fogged up and tarnished. It's not real bad, but it sure makes a difference inside on the screen. Not sure if this could be buffed out to improve clarity or not.

Now I need to figure out what settings to change with Forscan to get the guide lines back. If anyone can help with that, I would appreciate it.

Old cam on top, new on bottom. PN# JL3z-19G490-C

Revive!
I also decided to replace my blurry cam, and now I have two sets of guidelines…
old part: JL3T-19G490-AC
New part: JL3Z-19G490-L
Truck is a 2019 lariat screw 3.5eb long box w/ technology package and trailer backup assist.
Seems like the APIM and camera are both projecting the overlay graphic, but would appreciate input from someone with a deeper understanding.
