Default Battery Draw

Hello Ford F-150 owners. I have a 2021 F-150 POWERBOOST. It seems, my truck is constantly drawing power from somewhere, causing the battery to run low. I had a new battery installed in January and 9 months later, I received an alert, I have a low battery. I took the truck into Ford. They had it for 4 days and told me they don't know what they did but after much testing, the truck is no longer drawing power when it is off and locked. This is a little confusing and uneasy to accept. Has ANYONE ever experienced this issue before? Thank you in advance for your feedback.

I don’t know if this will help you but this was my experience:
I have a 23 Lariat that was in battery saving mode when I opened the door. I had no dome lights, blank/black screen, no puddle lights & no headlights/tail lights. The truck would start with no problem. I usually take short trips, so i thought the truck didn’t have enough running time to charge the battery fully. So I hooked up my AGM battery maintainer for a day. The next day I disconnected the maintainer, I had 12.6 volts & 90% charge. I did a battery load test, all good. I recharged the battery & had the same reading as above. I opened the door & had the same results. The battery mode status in the dash showed battery was at 34% charge. The battery monitor system (BMS) has memory & wouldn’t update to the current status of the battery which I thought was strange. I did a hard reset for the BMS. When I opened the door, everything worked properly.
Maybe you take short trips too. After you replaced your original battery & got low battery, did the truck still start with no problem?

Hi there! Will you send us a message with your VIN and your local Ford dealer? I can look into things on my end.

Thank you for the info. That helps out a lot. I do take short trips, multiple times a day. I feel enough driving time to keep the batteries toped off. Ford had my truck for a few days, troubleshooting. I got a call from them saying they fixed the problem. They don't know what they did other then unplug all the modules and plugged everything back in, tested and the truck is no longer drawing power when it sits. I'm not convinced the truck is fixed. The battery was installed in January. I will keep my fingers crossed. Thanks again.

My apologies but whom do I have the pleasure of speaking with?

@Bernierayner - from my personal experience, I would also replace the aux battery that is hidden behind the rear bench. Yours is now 4 years old, and I would replace it, as it might be draining the main battery. (ask me how I know)
Unfortunately that small battery is proprietary size, and the cheapest one I found was on RockAuto.
Good luck.
