Default Auto running board

For those of you that have the auto fold running boards, what did you do to get rid of the chrome trim that’s inlaid on them? I tried one way, and didn’t work the best for long term. If you’ve used any sort of led lights, that’s a plus! TIA

What am I missing? Why do you want to get rid of the trim?

I don’t want to get rid of the whole step, there’s a piece of chrome trim, and it’s the last of the chrome I want to get rid of. I wanted to see if anyone’s used any sort of LED lights to replace it

You could just cover the chrome with a vinyl wrap material. Lots of different choices in gloss, mat, or even fake carbon fiber.

I wrapped mine. The other option is to pull the end caps and pull the chrome strip out.
