Default Audio System / Battery question

I recently installed a sound system on my truck, but I need more power for it. I was thinking of getting this battery --- XS Power Batteries PWR-S5-4800 PWR-S5-4800 12V Titan8 Lithium Battery --- and also doing the big three for it. Is anyone running this battery alone? I was thinking of just using this one to replace the OEM one, as it seems that running two batteries is a little more complicated because of the power management system. Or if anybody is running dual batteries on a '21 to '23 F-150, if you could please elaborate on what batteries you're running and how you did it to avoid headaches.

Not sure if it matters much, but the truck is a 2023 Ford F-150 Platinum 5.0

Thanks y'all !

Welcome to the forum. I have seen other owners use that battery and it will work fine. I have a mild sound system in my truck, too. I went with an H7 Optima yellowtop instead of the XS. It's an 80ah instead of 72ah on the XS. The H7 battery will fit perfecty in the battery tray that holds your current H6 factory battery.

Thanks @F150Cincy

& @rugedraw Thanks! & appreciate the info. I actually thought about the Yellowtop aswell as a I had one back in like 2014 in another truck I had with a mild sound system. This one is overkill for what I have as well but I wanted it to be that way incase I ever add more subs or speakers in the future I'll have one less thing to upgrade

Wait, if you have a 2023 Platinum, don’t you have the B&O Sync System? I wouldn’t change anything in mine - it’s way better than the AKG system in my Cadillac. I thought all Platinum models came with B&O, or maybe I’m missing something here.

Not all Platinums came with the B&O Unleashed system; that was optional. In my case, my Platinum did have the Unleashed system, and I still found it very lacking. I find all OEM sound systems to be lacking, but I have been a bass-head since I first started driving. While I think most people may be satisfied with the OEM B&O system, there are people like me (and probably the OP) that can't leave well enough alone and will add subs and/or other improvements to factory sound systems.

yes it has the B&O, but it wasn’t loud enough && no bass at all so I upgraded 😬

thanks appreciate the info
