Has anybody found a clever use for the slot between the cup holder and gear shift?

 

Cellphone slot..

 

It's simply perfect for anything that fits there...

 

As stated above, cell phone. I connect the cell phone to the power usb in the center console (large one that opens between the seats , not the data transfer at the front).

 

This! No need for a phone holder with CarPlay.

 

I have a cell phone holder, never really thought to use slot for it. I use android auto, maybe I don't know what I'm doing but if I want to start a text I have to go thru cell phone, but replys I can do thru AA , that why I keep my cell phone up where I can see it. I can do calls just fine thru AA, just not texts. I'm sure it's User error, but i rarely get or recieve texts, so not a huge deal, I guess.

 

You can use Google or Bixby voice commands to send a text. For example, say Hey Google, send a text to nasars. Google will reply sure what do you want to say, then just respond with your desired text.

 

That explains it then, I don't use any voice activated commands, never seems to work out very good for me. Usually send something I don't want😁

Not on the 21+, but on the 15-20 if you polled the liner out, dipping sauces fit in there perfectly.
