Thanks. I have a 3,330psi Simpson PW which is to powerful for the truck and our other two vehicles. I bought an electric Karcher PW from Amazon and use a foam cannon. I use the "Mr. Pink" soap, also from Amazon. Foams up real well and can be used in the sun. This is a plugin PW and now they have battery units.

My car wash unscrews the antenna before entering. It’s for AM/FM. The Sirius antenna is mounted on the top of the cab.

I've thought about going shorter. it it does a great job of letting me know when I am getting close to a parking garage ceiling so I decided to stay with the original.

 

I put a, I think, 1/4" stainless steel bolt in the receptacle.

 

How did this affect am/fm reception?

 

"I don't listen to AM/FM much, preferring the SirusXM or music on my cell phone." Same for me and I installed an I can get radio info over my phone. KM

 

I never used a car wash, at least on a new vehicle. I have several friends who have had their paint destroyed, so no need to change the antenna.
