Another Problem
2021 5.0 I notice same thing if I make a hard right or left turn and hit the throttle - just stumbles for a second then starts moving. Not proven but think with the sharp turn causing a large difference in rolling radius between the rear tires the computer thinks it's losing traction and cuts power
Hard stumbles on tip in or when you are first starting. Knock sensors can do this. Bad gas can often be the culprit. Are you running 87? Try running a tank of 93 or premium octane with BG44k fuel system cleaner
I was thinking the same. The *** is really annoying. There are times when you need to make a left hand turn and need to jump out fast due to traffic. What a shock to the driveline that must be. I turn mine off 99% of the time.
My wife has a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the *** and we were stuck in a long traffic jam of about 3 hours. I used the stop start feature and a couple of times actually put the Jeep in park and shut it off. After we got out of the mess a warning light comes on and a message saying the *** is disabled. I looked it up and the consensus was that 90% of the time it is a bum battery. We just had both batteries replaced 2 years ago. A relative bought the same JeeP in 2020 and right off the lot the *** wasn't working. It turned out that sitting on the lot caused it to die.
Who's bright idea was the ***? Never mind I know because they are the ones trying to save us from Climate change BUT with the pennies we save on gasoline using the system we pay hundreds for new batteries that are junk before their time and a thousand for a worn out starter.
I think most of us are happy that the *** has an off switch.
