Default Amp Powersteps on a PB

I recently bought a 23 XLT powerboost and wanted to add the Amp powersteps to it. I've read here and seen a couple of youtube vids that the step motor on the passenger side interferes with the high voltage lines and would have to be somewhat modified to make it fit. However, RealTruck is showing a part number of AMP-76252-01A for the PB and AMP-76152-01A for the ecoboost, obviously different. They claim the first part number will fit a PB. My question is, has anyone installed this "newer version" on a PB and seen that they fit without modification? Thanks for the help.

Did a install of amp power boards on a power boost and yes the motor in it's factory setting will interfere with the high voltage lines.

Re-positioned the motor for clearance so if real truck has included a stock re-positioned motor it is possible.

Have you looked at different models of power running boards.

Thanks for the reply. And yes I was on the fence about those but I really don't love how the door sensors work. The Amps are more expensive but I like the integration more, provided they mount properly.

I had this same issue on my 2021 Powerboost as well. What I ended up doing was swapping the motor from the front hinge to the rear and extending the cable harness. It was a pretty simple swap once you figure out the hinge. I have been running this for about year now with absolutely zero issues. One note you can't just swap the hinge locations since the boards won't sit flush to the body of the truck. You will absolutely need to swap the motor from the front hinge to the rear.

Just providing an update if anyone is curious in the future. I bought the steps with the part number included in post 1. The issue has been resolved by moving the motors to the rear mounts and extending the wiring harness. No clearance issues. Just don’t be dumb like me and assume the motor hinges go on the front like they used to.
