Default Adjusted the Fog Lights

Hi all. I know this has been discussed before in here but I figured I would post my results. On my 22 Limited from the factory the fog lights were totally useless. I mean they light up NOTHING. From previous posts here I followed the directions to adjust them. NOW they are aimed to fill the void area in front of the truck prior to were the low beams tend to start to light up. So say 5 to 16 feet out from the front of the truck.

The adjustment was very easy!

Katie

PS thank you to those that posted the directions to the procedure!

Will you share the procedure with us? I'd be interested in adjusting mine.

First of all, they can be adjusted without removing the tires; I took my tire off for my first one an figured out that I could have just turned the wheel enough to give me room. I adjusted mine and had to crank them up quite a ways before they were effective. They come from the factory bottomed out in their adjustment.

I adjusted mine a few minutes ago and it was easier than easy. Lift the lower front edge of the plastic fender liner (the lowest screw on my '22 F150 isn't attached to anything--just fills the hole). Once you visually locate the adjustment "bolt", all it took was a 13mm socket on the end of a short extension--it turns by hand. I did have to turn counter-clockwise to raise them, which is opposite to everything else I've read. The link in the above post has a good photo that will show where the adjustment bolt is.

I’m pretty sure that underneath there’s a hole to stick a screwdriver in, just like on the headlights. I’ve seen it in a post somewhere

There probably is, but the hex head adjuster is so easy to see and access I didn't look for the screw adjuster.

Glad I found this post - my "fog lights" are aimed so low that I had to get out and check to see if they were actually on - first project for a non-rainy day
