Default Adding subs to power boost

Just picked up my new 21 Powerboost. The truck is phenominal. Drove it from KC to Corpus Christy (1700 miles round trip) and averaged about 23mpg doing 80+ the whole way. Got it silver to match my 01 lightning as well! My question is I have 2 10 inch JL subs using about 250 watts each. Will hooking these up to this truck affect how often I will get to use the electric drive mode or affect performance at all. On my 20 F150 at stop lights auto start and stop would turn the engine off and when the subs hit hard they would either sound like they lacked power or the engine would turn back on. I am new to hybrids and un aware of everything going on. Any tips or advice is appreciated thanks!

Are they powered subs or are you referencing the driver capacity? If you have 500 watts of powered subs, that's going to weigh in at over 40-amp draw when fully open. That draw will have an impact, but I'd believe minor.

Class D draws little power compared to older A/B amps, so it will probably cause the engine to run more just to charge but I wouldn’t imagine it would be a huge difference.

I wonder if you can hook to the auxiliary battery under the rear seat? That would make wiring it up easier.

It I were doing it, I’d def use a class d amp with signal sense on/off so the start/stop wouldn’t effect it.

The subs will run off the 12volt battery and not the hybrid power battery.

The loss of (charging) voltage while A/SS has the truck off is going to affect the current available to amps. You can combat this somewhat with a super/ultra capacitor with voltage regulation located close to the amps, but before doing that I'd disable A/SS to keep the generator running, and also BMS to bring up the charged battery voltage. After that I'd look into a super/ultra capacitor to handle transient power surges.
