I am looking to add LTH (stainless works) to my 2024 5.0. Seems to be much more cost and trouble compared to when I added them to my 2012. Labor 1700-1800, plus, some places want to add a ’custom tune’ for an additional 1000.00. So looking at 6300 to just add a set of headers. In 2012 closer to 3000. I am not the kind of person to be on my laptop every weekend tuning my truck. 93 octane performance tune, flash it to an econo mode for road trip and that’s about it. I have experience with SVT flash and 5 Star Tuning. Pretty basic and simple. Am I missing something or is that the cost of owning a Gen 4 coyote? Is there a simple way to add headers, tune it and forget it without causing ongoing tune issues, pcm code errors etc?

 

All depends on the area you're in, shop around see what other places are charging. The price you got for install/tune seems a bit much in my opinion, could be a ripoff or they just don't want to do it.
