Default Active air dam system fault error

I have a 2022 STX 2.7. During the last week, I've received the follow error 2 times on my dashboard "active air dam system fault; see owners manual." I don't have the retractable air dam.

What could be causing this error? Is there something I can do to resolve this?

Thanks in advance!!

I also have a 2022 XLT with the 2.7, and have gotten this exact fault alert three times this week. I know I had a new OTA update pushed to my truck recently, and my guess is that is what is causing this fault.

I would also know what can be done to resolve this.

I remember that update and then another one was pushed right after that. I'm hoping that 2nd update, cleared it up.
We'll see.
Thanks for the reply!!

2022 F150 XLT 5.0L
I have the active air dam on my truck.
Same issue started about the same time seemingly with a software update.
Got the second update a few days ago, still doing it.

I popped this error message this morning. I drove the truck yesterday with no issues. Noticed this morning that it defaulted to full screen carplay, which is usually a "tell" that an update pushed through. I remembered this thread and wanted to see what the consensus was. So far it seems we need to wait for the next update to fix this.

My November 28th built Lariat sent me this message 1 time yesterday and twice this morning. It also said See Manual.

Son has 2022 2.7 and they just replaced the air dam actuators for that issue.

I'm here because it happened to my F150 XLT. I did a bit of research and found this file.
Should note it's specific to the Ford Lightning —
Some 2022-2023 F-150 Lightning vehicles may experience an Active Air Dam System Fault See Manual warning message in the instrument panel cluster (IPC). This may be due to the software level in the powertrain control module (PCM). To correct this con
I'll assume it's happening to other Ford models, too?
