Active Air Dam Alignment Procedure?
Hi,
I have a 2021 F-150 XL Supercab 4x4 Long Bed with a 5.0. Is there an alignment procedure for the active Air dam? Mine has started to get hung up in the middle as it tries to retract to the up position. I've never hit anything. But I have read that it is a somewhat common problem. Hate to have to go to the Dealer if it's something I can crawl under and fix with another set of hands.

After the dealer replaced mine it was exactly like the old one..I took a pair of sharp shears and trimmed away the excess rubber cover...Looks like crap from the bottom but not very noticeable from standing position.

Like I said, the Air dam gets stuck in the middle as it tries to retract/go up. I was hoping someone might have a service manual with steps to align it or a service bulletin suggest a fix. Thanks
I checked the service manual, no task for alignment. Looks like you either have an obstruction or a bad actuator.
I would remove the blade itself, then drive the vehicle and see if the actuators retract fully once the truck is stopped.

I’ve seen plenty on the highway with only partly deployed spoilers.
This is going to be the first “I ain’t paying that much to fix it part” on the current gen.
At least it isn’t as goofy as the SD spoiler.
