Default 7.2 Propower issue

My truck is a 2023 PowerBoost with the 7.2kw propower option.
My first attempt to use the propower.
I had to haul my 20gal air compressor to an RV storage facility to air up the tires on my Class A motorhome. The compressor pulls 13amps. At home I have it plugged into the normal 15amp outlet in the garage.
I plugged the compressor into the A side of the bed, then the B side. In both cases the truck told me my device was pulling too much power.
I plugged the compressor into the dash outlet, and it worked fine.
Is there an issue?

Question;
Does the Compressor have a ground pin on its Plug?
The outlets are supposed to offer 20 amps each at 120 volts AC.
Good luck.

I've had an issue with compressors starting with inverter systems before, but have not tried using a larger compressor off my truck. Maybe try using an dogbone adapter that splits the 30 amp 240 volt twist lock into a couple of 120 v outlets. I've done that for a large table saw and it handled the large inrush current fine and worked as expected.

Good answer. What you are running up against is the surge demand for power v continuous demand for power. The Initial or start up (surge) demand is always higher than the sticker label on the equipment.

Start up current too high. Dogbone will probably fix it. Try this:

That's an interesting workaround.
