Can anyone confirm the engine tick is gone or still there ? Looking at a new 2021, but I'm not interested if it hasn't been fixed.

 

I only have 150 miles on mine, but so far it's been flawless.

 

engine tick? you referring to spark knock? use 89 octane. the compression ratio of the 5.0 falls in the 89 octane category, if not a little higher

 

I’m referring to the tick on the passenger side from the high pressure fuel lines ? It’s been a huge issue especially with the 2018s. The engine sounds like a diesel it’s that loud. Engines were burning oil, initially dealers were changing engines, then Ford changed the dipstick and something else.Ford later said they acknowledge the noise but said it has no effect of engine performance or life. Here’s a video of it.
My 2016 does not sound like this at all. Practically silent.

My 18 does its the only thing I dislike about the truck.

 

My 2018 had that annoying tick.... my 2021 with 200 miles, no tick.
