My 2023 Platinum has a build date of next week. I am showing that the 3rd brake light camera will be removed, it is a 175.00 credit.

 

Wow, maybe the one I ordered will still have it since I don't have a credit like that. I'll find out soon enough since it's in transport right now. Thanks for that update.

Sure, it might still be a few weeks. The ETA to be at the dealer is 2/25, but then I have to go through the buy back process of the Explorer ST. I'm really interested to see the color since the Azure Grey was new for 23 and there were no examples on the lot I could look at before ordering.

 

For those of you who are getting your 23 F150 without the bed camera, I found a website that sells it. It is an HD camera and you will still need to purchase the brake light lens and housing for the camera. Not sure of that cost. Below is the link.

Unless window sticker states credit for removal, you will have it, so long as it is something included in your trim/options.

As for adding it back, I have no doubt that someone on here will figure out how to add it back, just like every other deletion. Just might take some time for parts availability to catch back up.

 

My sticker does show that. I wonder with the camera removal, will the wiring be there? Also if the wiring is there can you just plug the camera in and it will work or will you need it to be turned on within the code to activate it?

 

I dont think anyone knows on the wiring yet. Someone who gets a 23 with this camera deleted will need to open it up and see. There will for sure need to be Forscan changes done to enable that camera if you add it back in.

 

The camera removal began in late January of this year. Mine was built on 1/22 and has the camera.

 

The truck arrived at the dealer today and I went and had a look. It does have the 3rd brake light camera.
