Question 2025 Wireless Keypad

Is there no way to program this but FRDS? Can you enable with Forscan. I see FRDS you input the serial number but I cannot find anything in Forscan

Well after over hundreds of views I will say no go. Brought to dealer and after CDN 250 and another 100 (15 min) to program it's working. So disappointing this is not avail via Forscan. On the new trucks Forscan is getting less and less worth buying a paid version as you might only need 2-3 changes which can be done and then left alone for years until you sell. FRDS is clearly becoming more important going FWD but the adapters are stupidly over priced and subscriptions need to lower. $50 - for 2 days keeps it outta reach for most. If Ford lowered and made it avail to all at a discounted price they could make additional $$, but would lower dealer service. There's many who would take advantage and many who will rely still on dealers so they should change policy.

I enabled mine using Forscan when I added the keypad to my 2018. No se. Have a pic of the wireless keypad? Did you slap it on the pillar or down on the door?

This will not work on 2025 it's Bluetooth. This is the first year the next Gen have no door keypad. It is completely different from past to enable, requires FRDS. Note the new keypad is the one in the picture, the old is in video but is the same FRDS programming.

Put it on door like below.

Hmmmm. No me gusta. I wonder if the older keypad can be installed on the new trucks then? I had planned to keep mine and just move it over to a newer truck since I'll probably end up with either an STX or a one of the XLTs.

My dealer said they would program it in gratis, when I come pick it up, if I want to buy it.
Since I can use my phone just as well, if I do not have my keys, not sure if I need it.
I saw a video of someone putting the pilar type in the vehicle, you have to take the door and pilar facing off, which I am not really interested in doing.
On my 18 Limited, I used it a lot, so will see how much I miss it.

Unfortunately, I have a Platinum Plus, and the fuel door has a lock, and the release is inside.
Maybe under the wheel well.

. Forscan for the average low auto tech user becomes information overload, The user has to come to a board to have it all interpreted, then still not understand what it all means.
.Great tool but if not able to use the data, might as well go with a good hand Scanner that is more user friendly for service use, not making program change.
Forscan comes out of the Ukraine and has controls on it, due to war.
Good luck.
