2024 Active Park Assist?
#11
I have it and it works. Mine is a 2022 March 24th build and it is on the window sticker. My dealer said that the way things were going (back then) that you have to read the window sticker to know what is on the specific truck. I believe that is the case with 22 and 23 models especially- perhaps 24 models too.
You press the button and it wants to know what kind of parking- parallel or perpendicular. It then asks you to drive forward and it looks for a spot. It directs you to hold the button and hang on- lol!

I grew up parallel parking in a city. But to be honest, having to do it on a 20 foot long F150 in the City is different. I gave myself an award once I overcame my concern and did it.

After numerous failed attempts I went to a Walmart parking lot to practice.... multiple times it wanted to back into the grocery basket corral. Parallel parking didn't fare much better. it fails to recognize open spots. I would say it works properly 20-25% of the time.
To be fair, the park assist on my Audi, VW and Buick were no better.

This is kind of funny but not really. I took the truck into the dealer Monday to have the software checked as advised by Ford. They told me it should work on my truck and assigned a case #.
The dealer ran diagnostics, updated some modules and software. They think it is supposed to work also but heard rumors the feature was discontinued/disabled. They aren't sure and they have a call into the Ford engineer to determine whether or not it should work. Nobody seems to know! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I'm still waiting to hear from them.

I've owned my current '21 F150 Platinum for 3 years, and have had many Ford vehicles with this feature over the years. Can't say I've used them, collectively, more than 3 times.
Teach your wife how to park a truck. Just like driving a manual transmission, it's life still she will have if and when she has to park a truck without it (or drive a manual transmission vehicle).

@phealtx33 , the MPGs on the two links don't match either.
