Default 2023 Issues

First post here. Sorry for the rant. Had a 2013 F150 ECO with 330xxx km but the transmission was acting up and I didn't see the truck as reliable anymore so I sold it and got in a new 2023 F150 Lariat ECO 4X4 FX4.

Pretty disappointed for the price (79k cad)

At 3000km in the Bliss/ABS/TracCnrl/FWDcollision Warnings are on intermittently. Needs a new wheel hub assembly. None in stock, And on back order with an unknown eta. How can they still be building trucks if they don’t have any? Clearly the priority is getting orders out the door rather than servicing the ones they’ve sold. Tell me it’s safe to drive but I tow and am unable to select the tow mode which while towing can’t be great for the transmission considering it’s fragility. 3-5 shifts are rough. Idle is rough.

I notice quite a few posts about some of these issues. Going to have to spend another few thousand on the longest ESP possible (going through flood or grainger with my USA address) to get any sense of ease here.

Anyone else super disappointed?

No, eagerly awaiting my 2023 to be built. My 2021 had a few issues when I got it, but they fixed them and it's been flawless since. Mass built anything has some issues, especially something as complex as a vehicle, so we get warranties. It's a bummer, not going to say that getting a new vehicle and having an easy early on doesn't kind of put ice on the excitement, but it's nothing to get worked up about.

Those that have repeat issues and have to lemon law or their vehicle sits at the dealer for months, man, that would be disappointing.

Good luck with your truck once they get it fixed. I had to wait three months for an APIM on mine a little over a year ago because it was backordered. Just glad that mine (like yours it sounds like) could still be driven.

Your shifts will improve as things break in, I think you found one issue and are looking for others though if I am honest. I am sure your transmission and engine are fine, it's a truck, not a BMW.

Thanks for the reply and some confidence. I hope you are correct. My old truck had no issues (and idled fine) until 325km.

Id like to see some comments from some high (relatively) mileage 21+ owners, if there are any out there!

You can use the plus and minus buttons on the shifter, or manual mode when towing and you need to shift down.

My '23 has already had 2 transmission codes in the first 3,000 miles. The service advisor blames the software. I fear that this is going to be problamitic over the life of the truck.
