Default 2023 Connectivity issue

So, I am 1 month into the 3 month trial of the Connectivity subscription.

I live outside of a major metro area so the ATT network is relatively available.

As a matter of fact, if and when (rarely) the Connectivity works, there really aren’t any dead spots between my home and work routes.

The truck occasionally logs on during power up. I would say 50/50.

If it loses connectivity it does not recover on its own. Occasionally, it will respond to a power cycle, but not always. Another 50/50 deal.

I actually like the onboard Nav, Traffic and Weather presentation, however it is completely unreliable.

I don’t know if ‘they’ throttle’ data since it’s a ‘free trial’ but if they do that, it completely tanks the desire to actually pay for a data package that doesn’t work.

Anyway, I can’t find any sort of signal strength indication, and even if I could, I would not (edit) be able to differentiate between a network problem, an antenna problem or a receiver problem.

Does Ford have any sort of utility the dealer can use to troubleshoot the issue?

I am going in for my first service in June and figure I would have them look at it. But my expectations are very low in this regard, especially when I read about dealers telling people they can’t fix something ‘if there are no codes’. Which is laughable.

I have read through some posts here but haven’t seen anything about systemic connectivity issues, maybe I missed those.

I am very happy with the truck otherwise, so far, have gone 3000 miles in a month of ownership (5.0, 302, XLT, extended wheelbase, special order)

I have also learned a lot from reading posts here and there seem to be some decent knowledge base among the members.

Thanks for any input on this matter.
