Default 2022 Powerboost window issue

Hey guys, I have a screw XL that has had this happen 3 times over the almost 2 months I’ve had the truck. Basically it goes like this:

From passenger window rolls down

trying to roll window up with the auto up function, it rolls 1/4 to halfway up, then begins to roll back down

happens on both the driver and passenger switches

very intermittent, happens maybe once a week with no real rhyme or reason to it

No other windows have had this issue, only passenger front

I can’t attach the video for whatever reason, will try again later.

It's the bounceback safety feature, has to be fixed by the dealer.

Ah gotcha. Back to the stealership I go! While we’re at it, do you have any insight to what low power mode is and why it turns on?

I'm also having issues with Apple CarPlay randomly turning off in the middle of driving. It works 75% of the time, but will disappear every once in a while in the middle of a long trip, and sometimes not work at all from startup.

On a much rarer occasion, as in once since I’ve owned the truck, my screen went completely black, and all gauges on my cluster went to zero as if the truck was off while driving. It lasted about 1 second but freaked me out in that brief moment.

I’ve also had my rear camera fail twice while in the middle of backing into my garage, not a huge deal and the truck is throwing zero codes on my OBD2, same with dealers readers.

I really don’t want to come off as complaining, I frickin love this truck, and expected some issues with the chip shortages (I’m guessing most issues are related to that or rushing through QC to get them out the door). I just want to get all the issues ironed out while it’s under warranty

Hi there! Go ahead and send us a private message with your VIN and the name and location of your Ford dealer so that I can look into this window concern for you. Thank you!

My passenger window wasn’t calibrated correctly either and behaved the same way. It can be fixed at home without a dealer visit. This is also true for a lot of people that install after market in-channel rain guards.

Hold the window switch in the up position for 5 seconds after it’s all the way up.

Then roll it down. You may need to press down a few times to force it all the way down.

Once all the way down, hold the switch down for 5 seconds.

Repeat the steps twice.

It should learn the new bounce back tolerances.

Depending on how the above worked for you, the 1 touch and bounceback info with reset / over ride instructions are outlined on page 159 of the downloadable manual.
It’s supposed to be on the infotainment system to, but haven’t used it there to know how it’s indexed

Thanks for all the info guys! I’m resetting the window bounce back now. I probably could have dug through the manual in the first place, but appreciate the help!

Wow. I never would have guessed this would be a user-correctable issue.

as a follow up, it doesn’t seem to be. I’ve reset both the driver and passenger side multiple times, and finally gave up when my rear passenger window stopped working altogether. Was told I need a new master switch, in a brand new truck. Took over a month to get here, but I’m finally getting it installed Friday. We’ll see if this fixes the issue. Now if only they could figure out why my powerboost has so many other electrical issues (mpg’s on trip meter resetting whenever they want, CarPlay only works about 75% of the time, and It’s cut all electrical power once before while driving , meaning mph, tach, infotainment, air, and all other electrical went out for about 2 seconds while driving.
